Deep Learning is a new field within Artificial Intelligence, the computerized approximation of human thinking. In the past few years researchers have trained neural networks with an infinitesimal number of layers and algorithms that are learning how to classify images to a greater extent than ever before.

In June 2015 Google Engineers released a method of visualizing what the algorithms saw, including code for artists like myself. I’ve been experimenting with the technology using my work as the basis. Here’s what the computer sees when it dreams about my art.
